Apple Hill 2009

This past weekend we made our annual trip to Apple Hill, but we felt the absence of some very important family members--Jill & Mauricio, we wish you could have been there! Despite our loss, there were still plenty of doughnuts, corn dogs, fudge, cider and other goodies to be had.

Chetan was still so excited from our trip that in the car today, he pretended to be on the phone with Jane talking about "App-uh Hill" and the "Punky patch." Here are some of the pictures we captured with our camera:

Okay, sorry...one last blog about the camping trip! This is a video of the kids dancing. It's a little lengthy, but the laughs are worth it.

PS: Andersen may not always be a man of many words, but he sure does have some pretty cool moves!

Camping Highlights

Bennett's feat swimming to the island & back was definitely one of the highlights of our family camping trip. A few others that deserve mention too are:

• Getting to camp at our favorite camping spot at Spicer Reservoir
• Tony's dutch oven beef stew
• Playing games and eating s'mores around the campfire (in particular, remembering Doug shout out "hoof-Juan" while playing the Mexican horse race game STILL makes me giggle!)
  
• Tony's pancake breakfast
• Rafting, kayaking, & swimming in the lake
• Playing games
• Tony's dutch oven peach cobbler

Also, a notable but sad event was that Nana injured her back. We hope she gets better soon! Hopefully these pictures will help:
